Listen At Me Good is the story of Seward “Harmonica” Shah performing for the first time at home. Forced into the Job Corps after a run-in with the Oakland Police, 17-year-old Shah found himself alone on a bus to Detroit and has not been back in almost 50 years. Shah has finally landed a gig that will allow him to return to his hometown and he does not know what to expect when he reunites with the place of his youth.
Although he has played all around the world, this is not just another business trip. Why has Shah not been back after all these years? What will he recognize? How does he know he is home? Speaking in rhythms only a great bluesman can, Harmonica Shah gets down to where he came from in a collection of live performances and conversations throughout the home he left long ago.
